If you wish to do the exercises during the course you need a laptop with
wirelss lan which should fulfill one of the following requirements:

    - either have linux installed
    - or if you have XP/Windows 7 you either need putty
      (http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html) or
      better if you want to do the exercise with the graphical user
      interface of AFD install cygwin (see intallation instructions).

During the course the users with XP/Windows 7 will get access to a virtual
machine which will have a linux distribution of their choice installed
(either Fedora 17, Scientific Linux 6 (RedHat), Ubuntu 12.04 or
opensuse 12.1).
